ONE

Me and One Magazine – we are more or less official.

It all started last winter when I went back to Sofia for the holidays. I came back with an offer to write for them (new bilingual issue out May 15 2010). Writing for them is one thing, but writing about them – I’ve never done that and I think I owe you one – it is a true loss not to know about these guys and gals.

One Magazine is an independent Bulgarian monthly publication. Okay, it was. Now it has gone quarterly and bilingual. The first issue came out in April 2002. Ever since then, its pages have been full of stories about positive agents and contemporary cultural, subcultural and social phenomena. You can catch up with the past issues with their One Book – 400 pages of the best interviews,  articles, photo sessions and campaigns One Magazine has organized so far.

Those creative agents try hard (and succeed) to change the way people in Bulgaria think and see things – trust me, this is maybe the most exhausting task ever! They also organize events that in Berlin, for example, are a standard, but for Sofia are a total vogue and visionary. I’ll be reporting exclusively about two specific events – you’ll find out soon which.
