Гоша Рубчинский S/S13
Gosha is not really the first thing to pop up in your mind when you think Russian fashion and style. Gosha Rubchinskiy’s menswear feels like the freshest, most relevant not only in the former Soviet center, but worldwide right now. Made in conjunction with Japanese avant-gardists Comme des Garçons, the 26-year-old Russian designer built his collection around simple ideas like the common workout sweatsuit and the subtle mock turtleneck. After a few seasons of all-over prints and Givenchy rottweiler T-shirts dominating men’s runways, his classic sportswear, always modeled on his clean-shaven, short-haired friends in his hometown of Moscow, is spot on. You can get the pieces over at Opening Ceremony (NYC) Mads Nørgaard (Copenhagen) or DSM (London) amongst many.
