No matter what your first association might be, Patent Leather Daddy (PLD) is a music blog for gentlemen with good taste in music and… men. But we’ll talk about the blog later.
What really needs to be talked about is the new Visual AIDS campaign by Slava Mogutin. Visual AIDS is the only contemporary arts organization fully committed to HIV prevention and AIDS awareness through producing and presenting visual art projects, while assisting artists living with HIV/AIDS.
Zachary of PLD looks playful, curious and determined to give us the best shot – be it in body-defining Russian mixed martial arts gear or in Slava’s trademark – jocks. Here is what Zachary of PLD reports on the photo shoot:
THE SHOOT WAS AN ALL DAY AFFAIR, WITH LOTS OF S JOCK TRAPS, STRANGE RUSSIAN M.M.A FIGHTING GEAR AND EVEN A SEXY SLASHED UP TSHIRT WHO’S PREVIOUS OWNER WAS NONE OTHER THAN THE LEGENDARY PETER BERLIN! THE SHOT CHOSEN ABOVE WAS MADE INTO A BASEBALL STYLE CARD FOR VISUAL AIDS, AN ORGANIZATION WHO USES ART TO RAISE AIDS AWARENESS..COOL! THE CARDS FEATURING BRIAN KENNY AND MYSELF WILL BE AVAILABLE THIS SUMMER AT COOL BOOKSTORES.
