PREVIEW BERLIN
The next edition of PREVIEW BERLIN is scheduled to take off this coming autumn, October 8-10, 2010. The venue will once again be Berlin’s historic Tempelhof Airport, PREVIEW BERLIN’s home since 2007. For the 2010 edition, the fair will be moving to one of the hangars, showcasing 60 young national and international galleries.
The objective of PREVIEW BERLIN is to allow sophisticated and challenging contemporary art to be shown at a very early stage on the international art market. PREVIEW BERLIN showcases emerging galleries and project spaces that reflect the newest tendencies in contemporary art. Following this aim, PREVIEW BERLIN also works as a platform for discussing different formats in the presentation of contemporary art. For the 2009 edition, the classic trade fair set-up of cubicles was dispensed with in favor of presenting sculptures and installations in the open space. This creative concept was developed as a reaction to the current situation of the art market, promoting a discussion about new paths in art communication and appreciation.
For the sixth edition of the fair in 2010, PREVIEW BERLIN will present a concept which unites experiences gained from all previous editions by developing a booth set-up, with a specially conceived construction.
Applications can now be submitted online until April 30th, 2010. Click here to apply.
